Josh Tomlin went 3 strong innings and right fielder Adam Eaton had 2 base hits
as the Columbus Crowd defeated the San Ybel Islanders 8 to 2 at The
Horseshoe.

Columbus promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating 3 runs
using 4 hits. After an out was recorded, Stephen Vogt started the rally when
he smacked a single. Eaton was next and he tripled. Christian Yelich then
stroked a single. Cody Asche followed and he doubled. Andre Ethier dug into
the batters box next, but he struck out. The early run support proved
sufficient for Chris Young(6-8) and Columbus. That was all the run support
Young required. Columbus had 11 hits for the night while San Ybel had 5.

Tomlin earned his 2nd save. Hyun-Jin Ryu(6-7) was tagged with the loss.
Columbus scored big getting 6 runs off him in 2 and 2/3 innings.
