Cole Hamels went the distance as the Columbus Crowd bested the Streator Reds 7
to 2 at The Horseshoe.
 
In the 2nd inning Columbus went on top for good scoring a single run on 2 base
hits.  Columbus rapped out 13 hits for the night.  
 
The victory was credited to Hamels(6-12) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Alex Cobb(5-8) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 10
hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.  
 
Wth the win Columbus now has a record of 42-62.  With the loss Streator now
has a record of 50-54.
