At Comerica Park Santiago Casilla(2-1) got the win and the San Ybel Islanders
shutout the Yuma Desert Rats in 11 innings 5 to 0.
Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings. Finally, San Ybel
pulled the game out in the 11th inning. The critical plate appearance was by
A.J. Pollock who deflated the crowd as he slapped a base-hit bringing home
two baserunners. San Ybel finished with 12 hits while Yuma ended up with 7.
Tony Watson(1-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits
and no walks in 1/3 of an inning.
