Anthony Rendon jacked one out of the ballyard as the Yuma Desert Rats
outscored the Dyersville Jurassics in 12 innings 3 to 2.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Yuma won the game
in the 12th inning. Matt Kemp laced a one-base hit. Steve Pearce stepped up
to the plate and he doubled giving Yuma the win much to the delight of the
home town crowd. Dyersville out-hit Yuma 13 to 9, but Yuma ended up with
more runs.
Joakim Soria(2-1) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory. Kyle
Lobstein(0-1) took the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter
giving up 2 hits and no walks.
