Julio Teheran tossed a complete game at Busch Stadium as the California Luv
came back dramatically to top the Tampico Stogies by the score of 5 to
4.
California won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs on 2
base hits. Andrelton Simmons opened up the inning nicely when he delivered a
one-base hit. Yasmani Grandal stepped up next and he drew a walk. Two outs
later Kyle Seager came to bat and clubbed a three-run home run. California
finished with 11 hits in the victory.
The winning pitcher was Teheran(3-3) who allowed 4 runs for the game.
Francisco Rodriguez(3-1) ended up with the loss in relief.
Mike Aldrich was not very talkative after his team's tough loss. 'I'm not in
the mood for questions, but I'm sure Greg Edens will be glad to talk about
the game as long as you have questions to ask.'
