The Tombstone Huckleberries defeated the Palatine Cubs by a score of 7 to 4 at
The O.K. Corral.
Tombstone had 4 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they
had 5 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Scooter Gennett who made
the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he doubled bringing home two
baserunners. The Palatine bats were silent in the 9th.
Carlos Carrasco(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings
and allowing 4 runs. Mark Melancon was credited with his 7th save. Jeremy
Guthrie(0-4) absorbed the loss. Tombstone scored big getting 6 runs off him
in 5 and 2/3 innings.
