Third baseman Trevor Plouffe jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as
the Dyersville Jurassics defeated the Streator Reds in 11 innings 5 to 4 at
the ballpark.
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Dyersville came out
the victor in the 11th inning. Rougned Odor tripled. Danny Santana came
next and he drew a walk. Santana then stole second base. Brandon Crawford
followed next and he hit a deep fly giving Dyersville the win and sending the
home town fans into a frenzy. The game was a wild affair with the lead
changing hands 5 times.
The winning pitcher was Josh Fields(2-0) who allowed no runs in 2/3 of an
inning. Ryan Cook(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning
giving up 2 hits and 1 walk.
