Left fielder Hunter Pence blasted 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at The Coliseum as
the North Dallas Fire Ants staged a comeback win over the Hoffman Estates
Penguins by the count of 9 to 7.
North Dallas erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
plating 3 runs utilizing 4 base hits. After an out was recorded, Dustin
Pedroia began the North Dallas spurt when he doubled. Jonathan Villar
stepped up to the plate and he smacked a single. Pence then smashed a
two-run homer. After another out, James Loney came to the plate and doubled.
Alex Rios stepped into the box and was walked intentionally. A wild affair,
this game saw the lead change 6 times.
Jason Frasor(7-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Steve
Cishek was credited with his 25th save. Huston Street(3-4) ended up with the
loss in relief.
Adam Arnett was very happy after the game, 'It's great to come back and win it
in your last at bats! Our guys just wouldn't give up. And did you see the
fans - one minute they're laughing and screaming down all sorts of
unprintable stuff at our guys - the next minute - SILENCE! Yes sir, a very
