David Murphy blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Hoffman Estates Penguins
beat the North Dallas Fire Ants in 11 innings by a score of 7 to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Hoffman Estates ended up
winning it in the 11th inning. After two were out Andrew McCutchen initiated
the scoring spurt when he doubled. Murphy stepped up next and he bombed a
two-run dinger giving Hoffman Estates the win as 10,030 happy fans joyfully
celebrated. Hoffman Estates rapped out 11 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Roberto Hernandez(6-4) who allowed no runs in 4
innings. Miguel Gonzalez(8-8) was charged with the loss in relief.
