Carlos Ruiz had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at The Horseshoe as the Tombstone
Huckleberries beat the Columbus Crowd 6 to 4.
 
Tombstone wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs on
3 base hits.  Ben Revere led off and keyed the rally when he ripped a single.
Chris Owings next to the plate and he lined a one-base hit.  Owings was
running on the next pitch and he stole second.  Marco Scutaro followed next
and he would ground out.  Miguel Cabrera came up to bat and delivered a
single.  Tombstone continued their aggressive style with another stolen base.
Matt Adams was the next batter, but he struck out.  Both teams finished the
game with 11 hits.  
 
Brandon Beachy(1-3) allowed 4 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Fernando Rodney preserved the game for Beachy, recording his his
21st save.  The losing pitcher was Ricky Nolasco(7-12).  He got hammered,
allowing 9 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.  
 
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Beachy, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
