Left fielder Carlos Quentin knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Chase Field as
the very talented Dublin Pubcrawlers won in their last at-bat beating the
Hoffman Estates Penguins by the count of 9 to 7.
Dublin erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs.
David Ortiz led off and started the rally when he drew a walk. Quentin
stepped up to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence making
Dublin victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Hoffman Estates
had 13 hits in the game while Dublin had 10, but Dublin had the more timely
hits.
The victory was credited to Kenley Jansen(1-2) who went 1 inning, allowing 1
run. A.J. Burnett(8-11) was charged with the loss. He gave up 8 runs and 9
hits in 8 innings.
Dublin remained hot, improving their record to 85-59. They now have a record
