Third baseman Evan Longoria hit a grand slam and Kyle Lohse was on top of his
game, blanking Burbank on just 3 hits at Chase Field where the Dublin
Pubcrawlers beat the floundering Burbank Tigers by the score of 9 to
0.
Longoria helped send the fans home happy. He brought the hometown folks to
their feet with a Grand Slammer in the 1st inning and doubled which plated a
run in the 4th inning. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.
For Lohse(13-6) it was his 3rd shutout this year. Mike Leake(11-9) was the
loser. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3
innings.
