Adam Wainwright dominated striking out 11 Detroit batters as the Glen Oaks
Bombers defeated the Detroit Iron Gloves by a score of 4 to 1 at Lateralus
Parabola.
Wainwright(11-10) was very good in the win. He surrendered only 4 hits and 2
walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Glen Oaks out-hit Detroit for the game, 12 hits
to 6.
Mariano Rivera got the save, his 23rd. Jered Weaver(11-5) was the loser. He
got hit pretty hard, allowing 11 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Wainwright was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my
pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got
into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again
in my next outing.'
