Carlos Santana blasted a homerun at Lawton Stadium as the California Luv won a
thriller over the San Ybel Islanders in, 8 to 7.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. After two outs Allen Craig lined a
one-base hit, and an error was also committed. Chase Utley followed and he
was walked intentionally. Kyle Seager then doubled giving California the
victory as 46,934 happy fans celebrated wildly. San Ybel out-hit California
13 to 9, but California ended up with more runs.
Latroy Hawkins(6-1) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Tony Cingrani(1-5) was given the loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits and 3
walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
