Bombers topped the ice-cold Egham Raiders by the slimmest of margins, 4 to
3.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Finally, Glen Oaks
pulled the game out in the 11th inning. Michael Morse banged out a single.
Marlon Byrd next to the plate and he ripped a base-knock. Freddie Freeman
was the next batter, but he struck out. One out later, Brandon Phillips
stepped up to the plate and he laced a base-hit. Joaquin Arias was next to
the plate, but was promptly struck out. Glen Oaks finished with 15 hits
while Egham ended up with 10.
Joaquin Benoit(2-5) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Mariano Rivera recorded his 7th save. The losing pitcher was Drew Smyly(1-2)
in relief.
