Coliseum as the Tampico Stogies beat the Hoffman Estates Penguins 9 to
5.
Tampico started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring 4 runners on 6 hits. The key at-bat was by Torii Hunter who
deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he delivered a single bringing in
two baserunners. Hoffman Estates was out-hit by Tampico, 12 hits to 9.
The win went to Alexi Ogando(3-2) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings. Ogando got
help from Jordan Lyles who earned his 1st save. The losing pitcher was
Roberto Hernandez(3-3). He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 1/3 of an inning.
