Bobby Parnell stopped Chicago cold as the Dyersville Jurassics defeated the
Chicago Colts by a score of 7 to 6 at West Side Park.
Kelly Johnson enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He ripped a base-hit which
brought home a run in the 1st inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 4th
inning and doubled bringing home two baserunners in the 8th inning. Parnell,
after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 4th save.
Jamey Wright(1-0) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Bryan
Shaw(2-2) absorbed the loss in relief. This win by Dyersville continues
their recent hot streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 8-2.
For the season, they are a division leading 36-17. Chicago has a record of
33-20 after the loss.
