Martin Prado left the yard as the Hoffman Estates Penguins defeated the
Tombstone Huckleberries by a score of 6 to 2 at The O.K. Corral.
Hoffman Estates came up with 2 runs in the top of the 2nd inning with the help
of 3 hits. Derek Norris led off and started the attack as he lined a
one-base hit. After an out was recorded, Starlin Castro came to bat and
lined a single. Castro took second on the throw. Garrett Jones then laced a
base-hit. Prado stepped in and he grounded into a double play. Hoffman
Estates finished with 11 hits while Tombstone ended up with 6.
The victory was credited to Esmil Rogers(5-4) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. James Shields(4-5) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around
by Hoffman Estates, allowing 11 hits and 5 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
Wth the win Hoffman Estates now has a record of 23-27. With the loss
Tombstone now has a record of 28-22.
