Wil Myers went yard and had 4 RBI and Paul Maholm tossed a complete game at
The Coliseum where the Hoffman Estates Penguins beat the Burbank Tigers by
the score of 11 to 3.
Myers helped send the fans home happy. He doubled which plated a run in the
5th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 7th inning. Hoffman Estates and
Burbank each finished the night with 10 hits.
The winning pitcher was Maholm(1-3) who allowed 3 runs for the game. Tim
Lincecum(2-3) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 4 runs in 3 and 2/3
innings and saw his ERA increase from 4.70 to 5.40.
The win by Hoffman Estates was very good news as they had been 2-8 of late.
Now their seasonal record improves to 10-16. With the loss, the Burbank
ballclub's record is 11-15.
