Kris Medlen(3-1) and Dan Straily(1-2) treated the Columbus fans to a fine
pitching duel at The Horseshoe. The Dyersville Jurassics eventually emerged
as victors over the Columbus Crowd by the score of 2 to 1.
Columbus was unable to recover after Dyersville went ahead in the top of the
3rd inning plating an isolated run on 2 hits. Columbus threatened in the 9th
but their rally came up short.
Erik Bedard was credited with his 1st save. Dyersville remained hot,
improving their record to a division leading 17-8. They now have a record of
9-1 in recent days. With the loss, the Columbus ballclub's record is 14-11.
