In a tight game it was the Dublin Pubcrawlers 7, the Egham Raiders 5 at Chase
Field.
Dublin jumped on top of Egham in the 3rd inning plating 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Matt Carpenter led off and got things going when he tripled.
Chris Heisey was next and he drew a walk. Evan Longoria then slapped a
base-hit. Two outs later Michael Brantley stepped in and he singled, and an
error was also committed. Dublin managed 12 hits in their victory.
The win was credited to Ubaldo Jimenez(2-0) who went 6 innings allowing 5
runs. Jimenez got relief help from Santiago Casilla who gained credit for his
1st save. Andy Pettitte(1-1) was charged with the loss. He was touched for
12 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.
'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Jimenez said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
