Chris Heisey went yard and had 2 RBI at Chase Field as the Dublin Pubcrawlers
won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Columbus Crowd by the count
of 8 to 7.
Dublin scored the winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs. After an out
was recorded, Evan Longoria got things rolling when he drew a walk. Joey
Votto got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.
Carlos Quentin then lashed a single. Michael Brantley was up next and he
drew a walk to load the bases. Ian Desmond stepped into the box and drew a
walk. David Lough kept the rally going and drew a walk. The score went
back-and-forth with the lead changing 5 times.
Justin Wilson(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 4 innings. Tom
Wilhelmsen(0-1) was the loser in relief. Adam Smith was ebullient after the
game, 'It's great to win a hard fought game like that. Our guys just weren't
going to be denied. And did you see the fans - they were going wild! Yes
sir, a very enjoyable win tonight!'
