The Glen Oaks Bombers nipped the ice-cold North Dallas Fire Ants in 10 innings
8 to 7 at Lateralus Parabola in a hard fought contest.
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Glen Oaks won the
hard fought contest in the 10th inning. Maicer Izturis kicked off the action
when he drew a walk. Michael Cuddyer was a strikeout victim, unable to help
out. Matt Wieters then cracked a two-run shot making Glen Oaks the victor
and beginning a joyous home town celebration. The game was a wild affair
with the lead changing hands 5 times.
The winning pitcher was Joaquin Benoit(3-2) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings.
Liam Hendriks(0-6) took the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 17 hits and 6
