One run was the difference at Dodger Stadium as the Streator Reds defeated the
hopeless Columbus Crowd in 11 innings 4 to 3.
 
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  Streator won the game
in the 11th inning.  After two outs Torii Hunter lashed a single.  B.J. Upton
stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk.  Justin Ruggiano then drew a walk
to load the bases.  Jeremy Hefner then let a pitch get away from him
resulting in an exciting win for Streator and a raucous post-game celebration
by the home town fans.  Streator had 11 hits for the night while Columbus had
5.  
 
Craig Kimbrel(6-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning.
Hefner(3-4) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning and
surrendered 1 hit and 2 walks.
