24,305 fans watched an exciting game at The Horseshoe. The Columbus Crowd
broke out of their 7 game losing streak and topped the DeKalb Zeitgeist by
the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.

Columbus had 2 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning with the help of 3 hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Brett Wallace who electrified The
Horseshoe when he smashed a two-run homer. DeKalb threatened in the 9th but
their rally came up short.

Jarrod Parker(8-10) allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Francisco Rodriguez earned the save, his 9th. Jason Hammel(4-8) was hit with
the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 1 walk in 6 and 1/3 innings.

When questioned, Frank Lopeman remarked, 'It's been a while since a win felt
this good - heck, it's been a while since we had a win period!'
