WEB GEMS- Top 4th: Nate McLouth robbed Yonder Alonso of an extra base hit.

Right fielder Andre Ethier hit 2 doubles at The Horseshoe as the Columbus
Crowd beat the Streator Reds 5 to 3.

Columbus set the tone of the game in the first inning plating 2 runs on 3
hits. David Freese led off and started the rally when he lined a one-base
hit. Ethier stepped up to the plate and he doubled. One out later, Ryan
Sweeney dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Everth Cabrera
followed and he drew a walk to load the bases. Nate McLouth came to the
plate and delivered a single, and an error was also committed. Elliot
Johnson was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Streator made it
exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

got help from Francisco Rodriguez who was credited with his 4th save. Yovani
Gallardo(10-9) was the loser. His biggest problem was control as he allowed
8 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
