Jarrod Parker came through with a solid 9 innings as the Columbus Crowd
outscored the DeKalb Zeitgeist 3 to 0.

Columbus jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring a single
run. Andre Ethier became the sole author of the rally when he cracked a
bases-empty home run. Ryan Sweeney came next and he drew a walk. One out
later, Brett Wallace struck out, unable to help the rally. James McDonald
then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball. Rickie Weeks got his
turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. The early run support proved
sufficient for Parker(3-8) and Columbus. That was all the run support Parker
required. Columbus had a total of 8 hits for the game.

McDonald(4-4) suffered the loss. He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings and surrendered
4 hits and 4 walks.
