Third baseman Chris Johnson hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Lateralus Parabola
as the Tampico Stogies beat the Glen Oaks Bombers 8 to 7.
Tampico took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning scoring one runner
utilizing 2 base hits. Glen Oaks had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
Jordan Lyles(6-3) went 5 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Tom
Wilhelmsen got the save, his 8th. The loss was charged to Adam
Wainwright(5-7). He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
Despite losing Mike Rescigno was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over
this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one
of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
