Aramis Ramirez had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Zach McAllister mowed down 11
Streator batters at Dodger Stadium where the North Dallas Fire Ants beat the
Streator Reds 5 to 4.
McAllister(2-4) was solid in the win. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and 2
walks in 7 innings dropping his ERA from 4.33 to 4.01. Streator threatened
in the 9th but North Dallas was able to put down the rally.
Steve Cishek earned the save, his 4th. Jeremy Hellickson(5-4) was the losing
pitcher. He gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 6 and 1/3 innings. McAllister
didn't realize how many strikeouts he was racking up. When told he had 11 he
was obviously surprised, 'No kidding? Man, I knew that I had a decent total,
but I didn't think I had K'd that many. Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'
