Chad Billingsley(2-2) and Chris Tillman(0-2) treated the Streator fans to a
fine pitching duel at Dodger Stadium. The Columbus Crowd eventually emerged
as victors over the Streator Reds by the score of 2 to 1.
Columbus took the lead for keeps in the top of the 5th inning scoring one
runner. After an out was recorded, David Freese hit a bases-empty home run.
Streator had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Billingsley was helped out by Octavio Dotel who recorded his 3rd save. 'You
have to give Streator credit, they fought us tough to the end' Frank Lopeman
said. 'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out the
victory.'
