Paul Maholm allowed Ralph Madara to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the Streator Reds defeated the Columbus Crowd 5 to 3 at Dodger
Stadium.
 
Streator came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 8th inning
plating 2 runs using 4 hits.  After an out was recorded, Josh Willingham
initiated the scoring spurt when he ripped a base-hit.  Chase Headley came to
the plate and stroked a single.  Yonder Alonso then smacked a single.  Carlos
Santana followed next and he doubled.  Streator finished with 12 hits in the
victory.  
 
The victory was credited to Maholm(3-5) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Jarrod Parker(2-5) was tagged with the loss.  
 
Wth the win Streator now has a record of 25-24.  With the loss Columbus now
has a record of 20-29.
