One run was the difference at Dodger Stadium as the Streator Reds defeated the
Columbus Crowd in 10 innings 5 to 4.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Streator ended up winning it
in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Chase Headley stroked a
single. Yonder Alonso stepped up next and he reached on an error. After
another out, Justin Ruggiano stepped in and he was walked intentionally to
load the bases. Jordan Norberto then let loose a wild pitch making Streator
the winners and sending the 34,812 fans home happy. Streator totaled 11 hits
on the night.
Ryan Cook(2-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no
runs. Octavio Dotel(1-4) suffered the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck
loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
