Shortstop Zack Cozart hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Columbus Crowd topped
the Burbank Tigers in 10 innings by a score of 6 to 5 at the ballpark.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Finally, Columbus prevailed in
the 10th inning. David Freese lined a one-base hit. After an out was
recorded, Logan Morrison came to the plate and drew a walk. Cozart then
doubled. Andre Ethier was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Andy
Dirks stepped into the box and was walked intentionally to load the bases.
Jesus Montero dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Both teams
ended up with 14 hits on the night.
The victory went to Octavio Dotel(1-3) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Jordan Norberto earned the save, his 1st. Eric Stults(2-1) suffered
the loss in relief. He was hit hard and gave up 6 hits and 2 walks in 3 and
1/3 innings.
