At Wells Fargo Ballpark the Streator Reds came in to the game in quite a
tailspin, but they were able to snap their 6 game slide and outdistanced the
DeKalb Zeitgeist by a final score of 7 to 3.

Streator scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Denard Span who deflated the
mood of the partisan fans when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Streator had 10 hits for the game and DeKalb had 5.

The victory was credited to Mitchell Boggs(1-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Jamey Wright(0-2) was given the loss in relief. He allowed
Streator 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings of work.

With this win, Streator has a 16-14 record. They have been 3-7 lately.
DeKalb has a record of 21-9 after the loss.
