Orlando Hudson went yard and had 2 RBI as the SSB Tar Heels defeated the
Tombstone Huckleberries by a score of 5 to 3 at Angels Stadium.
Brett Myers(8-11) had a solid outing for SSB. He was reached for 6 hits and 1
walk in 6 innings. Tombstone threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.
Myers got help from Sean Marshall who was credited with his 1st save. The
loss was charged to Brandon Beachy(13-4). When questioned about the loss,
Doug Salzwedel said, 'The fans got to see an exciting game out there tonight.
Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this time. Next time, though, we'll
be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
