WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Jose Bautista robbed Michael Bourn of a base hit.
Second baseman Dan Uggla left the yard and had 2 RBI and Ryan Vogelsong went
the distance as the Chicago Colts rallied impressively to win in dramatic
style over Nimrod Numnuts, 3 to 2.
Chicago had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs. After an out was recorded, Troy Tulowitzki started the attack as he
drew a walk. Uggla next to the plate and he lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run giving Chicago the win as 9,469 happy fans joyfully
celebrated. Chicago had 8 hits for the night.
The win went to Vogelsong(9-6) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Eduardo
Sanchez(1-4) took the loss in relief. Rich Domovic was in great spirits in
his post-game interview. Yet, when asked about his feelings after the
thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered, 'I'll tell you this much - I know
how my counterpart, Mark Salzwedel, feels right now - and it's not very good.
It's terrible when you come up on the short end of one of these!'
