separated the combatants at game's end. The Burbank Tigers won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
Burbank took the lead for keeps in the 7th inning scoring a single run
utilizing 2 base hits. Jarrod Saltalamacchia doubled. After an out was
recorded, Bobby Abreu came to the plate and doubled. Kyle Blanks was the
next batter, but he struck out. Nyjer Morgan came up and he was walked
intentionally. Burbank managed only 6 hits on the night.
Josh Collmenter(8-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. David Hernandez was credited with his 6th save. Felix
Hernandez(11-16) was hit with the loss. He pitched 7 innings and surrendered
6 hits and 5 walks.
