In a two run game the Streator Reds got by the Yuma Desert Rats by the score
of 9 to 7.
Streator jumped on top of Yuma in the 7th inning plating 2 runs on 2 hits.
Carlos Santana led off and started the rally when he drew a walk. Josh
Willingham dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Chase Headley
then doubled. One out later, Desmond Jennings stepped up to the plate and he
was walked intentionally to load the bases. David Freese came up to bat and
laced a base-knock. Streator banged out 9 hits on the night.
The win went to Mitchell Boggs(2-1) who allowed 2 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
Kenley Jansen earned the save, his 9th. Antonio Bastardo(2-3) was the loser
in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit in 2/3 of an inning.
