The Detroit Iron Gloves edged the North Dallas Fire Ants at the ballpark by
the score of 3 to 2.
North Dallas was unable to claim the lead after Detroit went ahead in the 6th
inning plating an isolated run utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was
recorded, Ryan Roberts doubled. One out later, Drew Stubbs stepped up to the
plate and he ripped a one-base hit. Stubbs took second on the throw. North
Dallas threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
The victory went to Jered Weaver(7-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Weaver got help from Francisco Rodriguez who was credited with his 7th save.
Vance Worley(0-4) suffered the loss.
'This was a tough loss,' said Adam Arnett, 'the kind that sticks with you for
awhile.'
