Doug Fister delivered 7 solid innings and Orlando Hudson connected with a 'big
fly' and had 2 RBI as the SSB Tar Heels bested the Detroit Iron Gloves 3 to 2
at Edsel Stadium.
Fister(3-3) was solid in the win. He surrendered only 1 hit and 1 walk in 7
innings lowering his ERA to 4.95. Detroit could do no damage in the bottom
of the 9th.
Craig Kimbrel got the save, his 9th. Rick Porcello(1-3) was given the loss.
He gave up only 7 hits and no walks in 9 innings. The SSB ballclub's record
