WEB GEMS- Top 7th: Streator turns a triple play!
First baseman Adam Lind had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Streator Reds defeated the
DeKalb Zeitgeist by the score of 8 to 6 at Dodger Stadium.
Lind was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He doubled which
brought home a run in the 2nd inning, slapped a single knocking in a run in
the 3rd inning, singled plating a run in the 5th inning and lofted a
three-run 'big-fly' in the 7th inning. Kenley Jansen, after tossing a
perfect ninth, was credited with his 1st save.
Neftali Feliz(1-2) allowed 1 run in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Mike
Pelfrey(1-3) was the loser. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 7
runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Lind said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you
out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
