Derek Jeter smacked 2 triples as the DeKalb Zeitgeist came back to win one
over Burbank Tigers, 4 to 3.
DeKalb scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 2 runs using 2
hits. After an out was recorded, Mark Ellis got things rolling when he drew
a walk. Ryan Raburn followed and he tripled. Jeter then was walked
intentionally. Ryan Doumit followed next and he lashed a single. DeKalb
ended up with 6 hits for the game while Burbank had 3.
Matt Belisle(1-0) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Anibal Sanchez(0-1) was charged with the loss. Steve Seydell was all smiles
after the ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty dim there for a while, but
our guys never gave up - and neither did our fans - they kept cheering us on.
What a sweet win!'
