2011 Rule Change Ballot

Proposals 1 and 3-5, if they pass shall take effect for the 2012 season starting in January. If proposal 2 passes, it shall take effect for the 2013 season.

Proposal 1: Allow managers a new option when voting for ballot proposals: For a Proposal, Against a Proposal or With the Majority. The new option, With the Majority, allows a manager that has no strong feeling about which way to vote on a proposal to cast his vote with how the majority of the league votes (either for or against). If there is a tie in the voting for a proposal, then the With the Majority votes shall not be counted.

Vote YES on Proposal 1 if: you want to allow the new voting option.

Vote NO on Proposal 1 if: you want to make no changes to the current voting procedure.

Proposal 1 passed by a 11-7 vote and will take effect in 2012.

Proposal 2: Starting in 2013, change the draft order for rounds 2 through the end of the draft (including the taxi draft) to be in reverse order of finish. The team that had the worst record would pick first and the team with the best record would pick last. The first round draft order would remain unchanged. The currently documented tie-breakers will be used when teams have identical records.

Vote YES on Proposal 2 if: you want to use the new draft order for rounds 2 through the end of the draft, including the taxi draft.

Vote NO on Proposal 2 if: you want to keep the current draft order.

Proposal 2 passed by a 13-5 vote and will take effect in 2013.

Proposal 3: If Strat-O-Matic issues player card corrections, the Game Manager shall be responsible for incorporating them into the game.

Vote YES on Proposal 3 if: you want us to alter the player cards used in the replay if Strat-O-Matic issues corrections.

Vote NO on Proposal 3 if: you do NOT want us to alter the player cards used in the replay if Strat-O-Matic issues corrections.

Proposal 3 passed by a 14-4 vote and will take effect in 2012.

Proposal 4: If Proposal 3 passes, this proposal determines when we implement player card corrections issued by Strat-O-Matic.

Vote A on Proposal 4 if: you favor only allowing player card corrections prior to the execution of the first month’s games.

Vote B on Proposal 4 if: favor allowing player card corrections to be made at any time during the season.

Note: The vote on Proposal 4 only applies if Proposal 3 passes.

Choice B was selected and will take effect in 2012.

Proposal 5: If Proposal 3 passes, this proposal determines what player card corrections issued by Strat-O-Matic we will update for our replay.

Vote A on Proposal 5 if: you favor having all player card corrections issued by Strat-O-Matic updated for our replay.

Vote B on Proposal 5 if: you favor allowing the Executive Committee to determine what player card corrections issued by Strat-O-Matic we will update for our replay.

Note: The vote on Proposal 4 only applies if Proposal 3 passes.

Choice A was selected and will take effect in 2012.
