Third baseman Willie Bloomquist had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Dyersville
Jurassics defeated the Anarchy City Chaos 5 to 4 at Lateralus
Parabola.
Dyersville scored 3 runs in the decisive 4th inning when they had 4 base hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Bloomquist who deflated the mood of the
partisan fans when he doubled which was good for two runs. Anarchy City
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Randy Wells(8-14) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Wells got help from Jose Contreras who was credited with his 7th save. David
Price(17-3) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 4 walks
in 7 and 2/3 innings.
'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals' said Rob Danecker after the game.
'We lost this game tonight because we didn't follow the instructions every
Little Leaguer hears every day.'
