The Yuma Desert Rats nipped the Jefferson Park Penguins 5 to 4 at the ballpark
in a hard fought contest.
 
Yuma jumped on top of Jefferson Park in the bottom of the 7th inning scoring
one runner utilizing 2 base hits.  Erick Aybar tripled.  Rajai Davis next to
the plate and he worked the squeeze play to perfection.  After another out,
Howie Kendrick came up and he lined a base-hit.  The Jefferson Park bats were
silent in the 9th.  
 
The win went to Drew Storen(2-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Storen was helped out by Carlos Marmol who recorded his 19th save.  Joel
Zumaya(2-2) absorbed the loss in relief.  
 
Yuma now has a record of 50-48. With this loss, Jefferson Park has a 6-4
record of late, 55-43 overall.
