Jorge Cantu launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Englefield Green where the
Dyersville Jurassics beat the Egham Raiders in 11 innings by the score of 6
to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Dyersville was victorious in
the 11th inning. Shane Victorino laced a single. Kevin Slowey then threw a
high and inside pitch that got by the catcher; it was ruled a passed ball.
Brayan Pena then doubled. Ben Zobrist followed next and he ripped a single.
Zobrist was safe on a stolen base. After an out was recorded, Justin Morneau
stepped in and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Ryan Ludwick
came next and he grounded into a double play. Dyersville banged out 13 hits
on the night.
Evan Meek(5-3) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. David Hernandez
got the save, his 1st. Slowey(3-10) was given the loss in relief.
Wth the win Dyersville now has a record of 36-41. With the loss Egham now has
a record of 32-45, worst in the division.
