34,523 fans were treated to a fine game at Reds Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The SSB Tar Heels won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.

SSB claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runs on 4 hits.
Angel Pagan led off and got things going when he doubled. Marco Scutaro next
to the plate and he smacked a single. Raul Ibanez then ripped a base-hit.
Alex Rodriguez followed next and he hit a deep fly. Cody Ross came to the
plate and ripped a single. Dexter Fowler continued the rally and grounded
into a double play. Streator threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.

Clayton Richard(4-5) went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. John
Axford got the save, his 3rd. Justin Masterson(2-5) took the loss. When

exciting game out there tonight. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this
time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
