Brett Gardner left the yard and had 2 RBI at The Humidor as the Tampico
Stogies beat the Chicago Colts by the count of 7 to 3.
 
Chicago fell behind quickly as the Tampico offense came through in the first
inning with 2 runs using 2 hits.  After an out was recorded, Jeff Keppinger
was the sparkplug when he lined a base-hit.  Matt Joyce next to the plate and
he clubbed a two-run home run.  Ryan Howard was a strikeout victim, unable to
help out.  Tampico out-hit Chicago for the game, 12 hits to 8.  
 
The victory was credited to Jeff Niemann(3-1) who went 5 innings, allowing 2
runs. Niemann got help from Kris Medlen who earned his 1st save.  Alex
Sanabia(0-1) was given the loss.  He was unable to control the Tampico
offense and allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
