Holding Runners Information
To help better understand the Hold Runners settings,
here is an explanation. The % to Steal Base setting is the minimum safe percent you
would want to hold. For example if you would want to hold a runner with a 1-12 chance
of stealing you would set the tendency to 60% (12/20). The % to Get Lead value is the
minimum lead percentage you would consider holding only if the runner's % to Steal
base is greater than or equal the minimum you set in the previous value. For example
if the runner has a 1-14 chance of stealing, you would want to hold him based on your
% to Steal Base setting (70%>60%). But if that 1-14 base stealer only gets the lead on
a roll of 4 or 5 on two-six sided dice, then you to hold him you would need to set your
% to Get Lead value less than 7/36, or 19.44%. So if you set % to Get Lead at 20%, you
would not hold the runner described above, but 0% to 15% would hold him.
