The winners from the second
round advance to the World Series with the team with the best record having
home field advantage.
Should COL and CHI meet in the World Series, CHI would have home
field advantage due to 4-2 head to head record vs. COL.
All playoff series are 2/3/2 format with off days after games 2 and 5. There is at
least one off day between each series, and at least 2 off days for a team that
wins a series in 5 or less games.

Team Name Changes: Team name changes are due by December 9. Please email or call me if you
wish to make a change. I will be compiling the 2008 schedule between 12/9 and
12/15, so I want any team name changes before then.
If
anyone wants to change their 3-letter code, too, just let me know. I prefer to
keep them something similar to the start of the name (i.e. the city) just
because my memory is fading in my old age and that is the easiest way for me to
keep the teams straight, but we have enough exceptions now that I might as well
let everyone pick their own.
DUES AND TRADE FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR
DRAFT. Dues
for 2008 are $40. Trade fees and totals are listed at the bottom of this
newsletter. You can pay on-line via PayPal. I have a PayPal account and that is my preferred method of payment.
I suggest anyone who does not have an account sign up at www.paypal.com. Using PayPal
you can pay with funds either from a checking account or from a credit card.
Either way, please direct payment to LPrezdente@hotmail.com.
If paying via Credit Card, indicate that it is for a Service. If you do not
want to use PayPal, then send a check to me (Dennis
Martin) at: 502 Percy St, Oxnard, CA 93033-7100. If payment in full of all
dues and trade fees has not been received by the time your first pick comes up
in the 2008 draft, then you will forfeit that pick. The only exceptions are
those teams that will have negative balances or balances under $10 after prize
money is applied. I am just posting this as a reminder now; there is no need
for anyone to rush an early payment. If you do pay early, though, make sure you
include enough to cover any excess trading that you might do between now on the
January 9 deadline (i.e. if you pay your current balance as of now and then
make a dozen trades in the next couple of months, to run your balance back over
$10 then you will have to submit a second payment).
